デスモプレシン（Desmopressin）とは？

デスモプレシンは、脳の下垂体に自然に分泌されるホルモンを人工的に合成したものです。このホルモンは、血液の流れ、血圧、腎機能および体内の水分吸収を抑制する機能など、さまざまな重要な機能を担っています。

What is desmopressin?

Desmopressin is a man-made form of a hormone that occurs naturally in the pituitary gland. This hormone is important for many functions including blood flow, blood pressure, kidney function, and regulating how the body uses water.

Desmopressin is used to treat bed-wetting, central cranial diabete s insipidus, and increased thirst and urination caused by head surgery or head trauma.
